Xiaomi Unrevealed that the plant would accommodate large-scale automated production lines to improve production efficiency, 5G labs, and cloud services. In addition, the 5G flagship smartphone factory will be located in the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone and will operate exclusively for flagships as an in-house facility. It is expected that the plant will cover an area of 187,000 square meters with the expected output clocking around 60 units per minute (that is one smartphone per second), which is more than 60 percent higher than the current traditional plants. In addition, 1 million units will be produced in the first phase of the crop, which ensures it can produce more than 30 million units per year.
